I completed medical school in Auckland, then worked in a variety of hospitals across the country before moving to Christchurch shortly before the earthquakes.
Here I trained for several years with the hardworking Christchurch Hospital Emergency Department until relocating to Edinburgh, Scotland. In Edinburgh I worked for the NHS in general practice and hospital specialties, gaining valuable experience in another health system and have come to appreciate what we have in New Zealand. I have a Diploma in Paediatrics with distinction, but nothing has given me more hands-on experience than my 3 children! I also speak and understand basic Korean.
Since working in general practice, I have come to appreciate getting to know my patients both young and the elderly with more complex needs and aim to build a patient centred therapeutic relationship.
I am delighted and honoured to work with such a strong team in this vibrant community.
