I grew up in Edinburgh then moved to Glasgow to study medicine where I worked for several years in the hospitals before qualifying as a GP in 2005. Later that year I relocated to Christchurch and have spent over 15 years working as a GP and Urgent Care physician, enjoying the mix of acute care and injury management with conventional family medicine.
I enjoy all aspect of general practice but have a particular interest in women’s health, pediatrics’, acute care and injury management and forensic medicine. I have postgraduate diplomas in Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Sexual & Reproductive Health and I am MEDSAC accredited. Outside of work I enjoy Mountain Biking, Stand Up Paddle Boarding, Skiing, Snowboarding and Pilates. I also love spending time with my two daughters and husband exploring nature near and far and sometimes relaxing with a good book.
